"The group training in the Certified Coaching Professional Program was second to none. I felt so blessed to learn in real time with a group of Coaches, who just like me, wanted to be able to support their clients in the best way possible. Being trained by highly experienced Coaches, having the opportunity to observe others coaching, and having my coaching critiqued completely transformed the way I coach. I absolutely recommend this training to all Coaches."

Your learning

1. COACHING UNIT: COACH TRAINING FOR PROFESSIONAL ACCREDITATION
(In-person coach training, CLASS CONTENT, mentoring & business coaching - 50 hrs)
The Coach Training for Professional Accreditation unit are your coaching classes where you’ll grow and deepen your coaching to a highly proficient and confident level. All sessions are led by experienced ICF coaches, include lead coach, Lorna Stewart (MCC). Our coaches come from a range of backgrounds and are able to share their experiences, insights and knowledge with you every step of the way.

PROGRAM MODULES
Modules are designed to cover International Coach Federation competencies at a PCC level, so those coaching seeking an ICF credential are ready and confident to sit their performance evaluation (optional) in the last week of term. You will be well-versed in:
  1. The Coaching Partnership and Understanding Coaching Ethics
  2. Cultivating and Nurturing the Client's Journey
  3. Evoking Change Through a Creative Coaching Partnership
  4. Facilitation of the Client's Growth
  5. Coaching Entrepreneurship
In each module you will have each of the classes below so you have instruction, mentoring, coaching observation and live coaching experiences.

CLASSES
  • Tutorials are interactive and explore areas of coaching evolution, ethics and duty of care, coaching presence and session progression, how to establish coaching agreements to maintain focus and session integrity, the role of curiosity and intuition, development of skills to evoke awareness and facilitate growth, coach accreditation, business development, finding clients and much more.
  • Case study classes bring coaches at work to you so you can unpack what you've witnessed, your curiosities, reflections, concerns, revelations and application of learnings.
  • Practicums are amazing opportunities where you'll watch instructors coach, you'll coach your peers, they will coach you and your instructors will observe and help you unpack what you loved, what you would change, where you've experienced growth and where what you've said and done reflects ACC competencies.
  • Dynamic drops are always a favourite as these are your classes that your questions and reflections flavour, often revolving around what to do when .... happens and how to get started.
  • One-on-one sessions of which there are essentially four spread throughout the training are your opportunity to share a recorded session with your instructor which you both review together exploring what landed with great ease, where the opportunities for growth might be, for example where a question didn't appear to work well how this might be done differently. You will also have the opportunity to discuss your readiness for undertaking the Performance Evaluation (PE) (occurs in the last 1:1) to gain your Level 1 ICF competency certificate to use with your application to ICF for your ACC Credentialing. Note that the PE is optional.
  • Mentoring sessions occur as specific sessions to explore specialised topics in coaching such as lightheartedness, the use of coaching and wellbeing tools and ethical questions and dilemmas.
  • Breaks are woven into the program to enable you ample time to build your 100 hour coaching log required by ICF when applying for ACC, you'll coach your peers and we have a large network of students and alumni.

You will evolve as a coach through stress-free, engaging, exploratory, personalised and intimate training with a small group of just nine other coaches who you'll come to support and be supported by. Enjoy the close connection via a private WhatsApp group that includes just you and the nine other coaches in your intake.

You are not required to pay for additional tuition or mentoring with this program as it is included in the training. Completing the PE is and program meets the requirements by ICF to apply for ACC.

There are no hidden or additional fees.

2. SUPPLEMENTARY SELF-GUIDED STUDY:
EXPLORATION OF COACHING AND MENTORING, HISTORY AND CURRENT CONTEXT (49 hrs)
The Coach Training For Professional Accreditation unit is also accompanied by a specific textbook and discovery booklet that explores the history of coaching, coaching v mentoring, the role of positive psychology, use of tools, exploration of wellbeing and much more. All participants have access to extensive coaching tools and client workbooks, videos, and practical tasks that consolidate your ICF competency achievement and coaching growth. Easily accessed 24/7 via our modern learning system.
3. SELF-GUIDED PREPARATORY STUDIES:
i. PSYCHOLOGY & WELLNESS
ii. WELLBEING COACHING
All coaches have access to Foundations of Coaching which explores the role of positive psychology, personality, learning, counselling and coaching. There are two modules on this unit 'Psychology & Wellbeing Foundations' and 'Wellbeing Management & Coaching Practices' which ensure all coaches begin class with an understanding of client-led coaching, ICF competencies and evoking change in clients. Both hold extensive tools for coach and client. While this is an optional study component designed to ensure an excellent starting point for classes, those seeking UK International Health Coach membership are required to complete the content.
4. Mental health & Trauma awareness UNIT
The module covers depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, psychosis and substance use problems. A range of crises are reviewed from suicidal thoughts and behaviours, self-injury, panic attacks, traumatic events, acute effects from substance use, and psychotic states to aggressive behaviours. Drawn from an extensive array of government and not-for-profit agencies and their resources including Beyond Blue, American Mental Health, Black Dog, Conversations Matter, as well as other global agencies including Our World Data and WHO. This module will bring together the best information and resources from around. Now updated to include Digital Awareness.

ACC ICF coaching course
That's perfectly fine, we live in the real world and flexibility is just as important in learning as it is in life. Ideally you will reach 80% attendance. If you miss a class you can catch up by tuning into the recording which is available within minutes of the class concluding.
We believe learning, like life, ebbs and flows and isn't linear. All your learning is done in class, while coaching and in one-on-one sessions with instructors, the focus is on curiosity-led learning, and not testing. We are no ordinary college, and you're not going back to school, you are going forward to you and your career empowering others, and we want you to love every minute of this part of your journey. 'Can I fail?' If you have attended classes and participated then no, plus, we will always work quietly and in a relaxed manner to get you to where you want to be. We're specialists at navigating obstacles.

Sitting for ACC
Coaches seeking to gain Associate Certified Coach (ACC) ICF Credentialing have four opportunities to submit their recorded sessions to our MCC instructor during the program which you'll explore together against the ACC competencies. Upon meeting ACC you will be provide with an additional certificate to submit with your ACC application to ICF (please note ICF's requirement of 100 hours coaching and completion of the knowledge test to gain ACC).

There is no credit process fee, however, in receiving credit there is no alteration to the fees. We would ask that you submit evidence of successfully completed training that meets 'currency' standards in Australia (this is 8 years). Incomplete training is not able to be accepted as evidence.

Coaches seeking to join HCANZA who hold and ICF credential but don't have a health/wellness qualification will be required to complete a health/wellness qualification at an advanced diploma or higher level.
Coaches have two pathway options available to them:
   (a) Certified Coaching Professional (CCP) - IICT / HCANZA / HCUKA approved, and:
   (b) Certified Coaching Professional - ICF ACC Level 1 credential (CCP Level 1).
Participants have 24 months from the time of enrolment to complete CCP.
Participants wishing to gain CCP Level 1 have 12 months from the final class for their intake in order to successfully meet the Performance Evaluation criteria for ACC Level Credentialing.
