What does the Level 5 Diploma in Coaching for Lifestyle & Wellbeing include?

The Diploma combines professional coach training with health, wellbeing and lifestyle-focused study. One of the major components is DNHC507: Certified Coaching Professional, or CCP, which is our ICF-accredited coach training programme.
The Diploma also includes nutrition, health and wellbeing-focused units, alongside elective study and small group mentoring classes (additional to the ICF Coach Training) Professional Practice & Business Readiness Workshops.
A full Qualification Specification is available for prospective students who would like to review the programme structure and individual units in more detail.

Are the 21 live coaching classes specifically focused on health coaching?

The 21 live classes form part of DNHC507: Certified Coaching Professional (CCP), which is the ICF-accredited coach training component of the Diploma.
Because this is professional coach training, the live sessions focus primarily on transformational coaching skills and the ICF coaching competencies rather than teaching health content.
The skills you develop can be applied across many areas of coaching, including health, wellbeing, lifestyle, career and personal development.
The health coaching component of the Diploma is developed through other areas of the programme, particularly DNHC503: Wellbeing Management & Coaching Practices and our Professional Practice & Business Readiness Workshops.
These additional live workshops include topics such as nutrition coaching, health coaching case studies, recognising and responding to mental health red flags and other areas relevant to working professionally with health and wellbeing clients.

Are there additional live health coaching workshops?

Yes.
In addition to the 21 live CCP coach-training sessions, Diploma students have access to our Professional Practice & Business Readiness Workshops.
These workshops are offered regularly throughout the year and include a range of professional and health coaching topics.
Students can book into the sessions that are relevant to them and attend when the timing suits.

When do I choose my electives?

You do not need to select your electives when you first enrol.
In fact, we generally recommend waiting until you have started your studies and developed a clearer idea of the areas that interest you most.
Once you are ready to begin an elective, simply contact our team and we can open it for you.
You can view the current Diploma elective options here: LINK.

What does the Certified Coaching Professional (CCP) class timetable look like?

A full timetable is provided for each Certified Coaching Professional intake so that you can see the dates, session duration and weekly pattern before committing to the programme.
The live CCP programme includes 21 small-group sessions delivered via Zoom. A sample timetable is below.
Individual sessions are generally between two and three hours, with the exact duration shown on the relevant intake timetable.
If you would like a copy of the timetable for an upcoming intake, please contact our team.

What time are the live classes if I live in UK or Europe?

Our CCP programme welcomes students from around the world, including many from the UK and Europe.
Live sessions are scheduled at 6:00 pm Sydney time and generally run for two to three hours, with exact dates and durations shown on the intake timetable.
Because daylight-saving changes occur at different times in Australia, the UK and Europe, your local start time may shift slightly during the programme.
To make planning easy, we provide the full timetable in advance so you can see exactly what each session will look like in your time zone. If you are unsure, our team is always happy to help you work through the timing before you enrol.

What assessments are required in the Certified Coaching Professional programme?

Students complete three coaching submissions during the programme.
For each submission, you provide a short section of a coaching session for review by an instructor.
These submissions are designed as developmental check-ins rather than traditional pass/fail assessments. They give you the opportunity to receive feedback, ask questions and understand how your coaching is developing throughout the programme.
To successfully complete CCP, you are required to:
  • Complete the three coaching submission tasks.
  • Attend the final mentoring session.
  • Meet the required overall attendance level.

How much of the live coaching programme do I need to attend?

Students are required to meet a minimum of 80% attendance across the live CCP programme in line with the relevant ICF training requirements.
With 21 live sessions, this means you can be absent from up to four sessions in total while still meeting the attendance requirement.
We strongly encourage students to attend as many sessions as possible because the programme is highly practical and interactive.

Can I fail the Certified Coaching Professional programme?

The programme is designed to support your development rather than catch you out through traditional examinations.
Students who participate in the training, complete the required coaching submissions, attend the required mentoring and meet the attendance requirements are supported throughout the programme toward successful completion.
The three coaching submissions are developmental and provide opportunities for feedback and learning rather than functioning as traditional pass/fail examinations.

How does the Diploma help me build my ICF coaching hours?

Practice coaching begins very early in DNHC507: Certified Coaching Professional.
During your training, you will coach your peers and are encouraged to continue practising with members of the wider Well College Global student community as well as appropriate people within your own network.
To graduate from CCP, you are required to submit a coaching log demonstrating a minimum of 20 coaching hours.
We encourage students to continue accumulating coaching experience wherever possible, with some students completing a significant proportion of the coaching hours required for an ICF credential while they are still studying.
The coaching experience requirement for any subsequent ICF credential application is separate from graduation from the Diploma, and students should always check the current ICF credentialing requirements directly with the International Coaching Federation.

Does completing the Diploma automatically give me an ICF credential?

No.
The Diploma includes ICF-accredited coach training through the Certified Coaching Professional programme, but an individual ICF credential such as ACC is applied for separately through the International Coaching Federation.
ICF application fees, credentialing requirements and any applicable examination fees are therefore separate from your Well College Global course fees.
We recommend checking the current ICF requirements directly with ICF when you are preparing to apply for a credential.

Are there any additional or hidden course fees?

There are no additional hidden Well College Global course fees associated with completing the Diploma.
However, fees charged by external professional organisations are separate.
For example, if you later choose to apply for an ICF credential or become a member of organisations such as ICF or UKIHCA, their application, assessment or membership fees would be paid directly to those organisations.

What does UKIHCA membership require after graduation?

Professional-body membership requirements and fees can change over time.
For the most current information regarding UKIHCA Full Membership, including eligibility requirements, annual membership fees and any continuing professional development requirements, we recommend checking directly with UKIHCA.
[View UKIHCA Full Membership Information]

What is the early-bird deadline?

Where an early-bird offer applies, the deadline is generally eight weeks before the commencement date of the relevant intake.
For example, for the January 2027 intake commencing on 21 January 2027, the early-bird deadline is 27 November 2026.
Current promotional codes and eligibility can be confirmed with our team before enrolment.

We also recommend speaking with our team if you are comparing programmes or are unsure which qualification best suits your goals.

Can I speak with a graduate before enrolling?

Yes.
Where possible, we are happy to connect prospective students with graduates who are willing to share their experience of studying with Well College Global.
If location is important to you, let us know. For example, we can try to identify a graduate based in the UK or Europe where available.
Because our graduates are volunteers in this process, introductions are subject to their availability and consent.
Most of the accounts we follow on our Instagram are our students and graduates. You can also find our people on LinkedIn via Alumni.

What if I am comparing Well College Global with another health coaching programme?

We encourage you to compare programmes carefully.
Some useful areas to consider include:
  • Whether the coach training is independently accredited.
  • How much live coaching practice is included.
  • Whether you receive feedback on your coaching.
  • The amount and depth of health and wellbeing study.
  • Whether the programme includes opportunities to practise coaching with real people.
  • Professional recognition and membership pathways.
  • Tutor and mentoring support.
  • Whether business and professional practice are included.
  • How much study is live versus self-guided.
  • Whether the qualification aligns with what you ultimately want to do professionally.
Our Diploma deliberately separates professional coaching skill development from much of the health and wellbeing education.
This means the CCP component teaches you how to coach professionally using recognised coaching competencies, while the wider Diploma develops the health, lifestyle and wellbeing knowledge and application needed for health and wellbeing coaching.
If you are comparing programmes and would like help understanding the differences, you are welcome to speak with our team.

How is this Diploma different from other health coaching courses?

The Level 5 Diploma in Coaching for Lifestyle & Wellbeing is designed to bring together professional coaching credentials, health and wellbeing education, and the flexibility to shape your own area of specialism.

One of its strongest points of difference is the breadth of professional recognition behind the programme. The Diploma combines ICF-accredited coach training with pathways and recognition across leading health and coaching bodies including the Personalised Care Institute (PCI), UKIHCA and EMCC and HCANZA. THE ONLY UK PROGRAMME WITH THESE CREDENTIALS!

A key difference is that your coach training is delivered through DNHC507 Certified Coaching Professional, our ICF-accredited coaching programme. This means you are not only learning health coaching techniques; you are developing transferable professional coaching skills aligned with internationally recognised ICF competencies. We teach to PCC level.

Alongside this, you build your health and wellbeing knowledge through the wider Diploma and can choose electives that reflect your own interests, passions and future direction. Rather than everyone graduating with exactly the same focus, you can begin to co-create your own niche — whether that is women’s health, nutrition, gut health, lifestyle medicine or another area of wellbeing.

The programme also combines self-paced study with live coaching practice, mentoring, feedback and professional practice workshops, so you are supported to develop both knowledge and confidence in applying it.

The style of learning, for example if it is more traditional and uses standard essays and assignments with strict due dates and financial penalties for late submission. Or a more modern adult education approach that’s focused on application, confidence and skills.
We believe mental health and trauma awareness should form part of every professional coach training pathway. Coaches work with people, and people bring their whole lives into the coaching space. Having the confidence to recognise concerns, stay within scope and know when and how to refer is an important part of safe and ethical practice.

Another important distinction is flexibility. Your health units can be worked through around your existing commitments, while the live coach training gives you structured practice and connection with your cohort.

The Diploma is also designed with life after study in mind. Professional Practice & Business Readiness workshops help you explore how you want to work, develop your niche, build confidence with real-world coaching situations and begin shaping the kind of practice or career that suits you.

So rather than training you to follow one fixed model of health coaching, the Diploma is designed to help you become a skilled professional coach with a health and wellbeing specialism that feels genuinely your own.

There are NO:
  • Hidden fees, certificate-issue costs, assignment fees or late fees.
  • Compulsory in-person intensives, travel or accommodation costs.
  • One-size-fits-all curriculum — you can choose electives that reflect your interests and future niche.
  • Need to choose your electives at enrolment — you can decide as your interests develop.
  • Extra charge for live mentoring, coaching practice or professional development workshops.
  • Pressure to fit into one type of health coach — you can shape the direction that feels right for you.
  • Need to put your life on hold — the health and wellbeing units are designed to be studied flexibly around work and family.
  • Fees to join the alumni group.

Your qualification should fit around the life and career you’re building - not the other way around.
What you DO get:
ICF-accredited coach training • Mental Health & Trauma Awareness • Choice of electives • Live mentoring • Real coaching practice • Business readiness • Multiple professional recognition pathways • Ongoing student and graduate support.
