We all carry stories within us. Our stories can give us the confidence, the drive and determination we need to face up to the world, little reminders that we are amazing. With every shade of light there is shadow. Each one of us carries a story that dents our self-compassion. These stories often start with not enough… not good enough, not pretty enough, not smart enough, not thin enough; and they are loud and on constant repeat. This can be self-destructive and lead to a path of unhappiness. "Owning our story, and loving ourselves through that Rather than hiding from these stories we need to embrace them. We need to own our stories, and with this our vulnerability. After all, without vulnerability, without owning our story, we cannot cultivate true connections, with ourselves and with others. So, I encourage you to own whatever your story is. No matter how painful it may be. No matter what the reactions from others. Be compassionate to yourself. Be Brave!
