Well College's accreditation

WELL COLLEGE GLOBAL is an accredited training college approved by Qualifi UK, we are approved to offer OFQUAL UK accredited training qualifications (currently up to Level 5). All our subjects are written at under-graduated degree level. Recognition of qualifications varies between regions, use the ENIC-NARIC Network site to check the qualification framework for your country.
The use of the term 'diploma' is increasingly a protected term. For example in some countries courses cannot be named as diploma's unless they have undergone approval through a regulatory framework as our diploma's have done.

Well College Global, while based in Australia, has chosen not to be an Australian Registered Training Organisation (RTO) in Australia. We are a global training provider and have opted for UK accreditation due to the broader international equivalency. We are a completely independent college offering courses that contain international content (not Australian only) approved by numerous international industry bodies, all of which are independent. Our health coaching programs enable coaches to secure membership and insurance to practice no matter where they reside.

Coaches from other regions such as Northern Ireland, other parts of Europe and South Africa are eligible to gain direct insurance from BGi upon completing our program.

Well College's stance

Holding registration or membership with an independent peak body shows a high degree of industry commitment, and holding insurance that specifically reflects your training and its scope of practice should be a consideration in any course you chose. It's critical to have robust registration, and even more robust insurance based on a relevant scope of practice that the training is based on, and that directly reflects the modality it's registered under.

Yes you can do a very inexpensive and super short course to become a 'Health Coach' and even get insurance. But, ask yourself how confident will you be without actually learning how to coach? And, what sort of coach you want to be for your clients?

Here's what we think is important in choosing a qualification
1. Any coaching program you are considering must absolutely meet the standards of a minimum of 150 hours of training which must include both supervised coach training and unsupervised coach training, it is essential for your confidence, for client safety and for industry credibility
2. Health coaching programs should have solid educational values and qualities (including elective options)
3. Graduates should be able to access independent registration/membership/accreditation
4. Registration should ensure coaches can gain insurance that is based on a robust health coaching program
5. Coaches are supported when they graduate to build a strong health coaching industry
6. Training providers should offer 100% commitment to quality training in health coaching that supports the health agency of their communities
7. Ideally coaches should have access to pathways to ongoing education as this guarantees a level of credible content and learning outcomes
8. The training provider should provide coach training through not just qualified coach instructors but coach instructors who are actively working in the field

INSURANCE

Most of the peak bodies mentioned above offer membership and insurance bundles, making insurance super easy. Well College Global program graduates receive a comprehensive Graduate Launcher Pack that outlines how to gain registration and insurance, as well as how to get started in business, by getting pricing, packages, and marketing right.

Canada is one of the more unique areas for insurance due to individual provinces differing policies around allied health care. Refer to the CICIC for practitioner registration requirements in Canada.

Membership and insurance bundles are typically inexpensive costs. Most peak bodies also offer very inexpensive Student Membership so you can experience their support while studying.

HIGHER EDUCATION PATHWAY OPTIONS

Torrens University (Australia)
If you're looking to enrol into one of Torrens Universities excellent nutrition Diplomas, or Nutrition or Health Science Degrees chat with us about how you can test the water with our Human Nutrition unit (DNHC502), saving $ and gaining confidence in your study choice.
In completing our Human Nutrition unit (DNHC502) you can now pathway to the following tertiary qualifications at Torrens University:
* Diploma of Nutrition
* Bachelor of Nutrition
* Bachelor of Clinical Nutrition
* Bachelor of Health Science in streams of either naturopathy or western herbal medicine

Students successfully completing all elements of this course may be eligible to apply for direct entry into the above diploma or bachelor degrees at Torrens University, taking with them an exemption for the subjects Human Nutrition 1 (NUTR2001) and Human Nutrition 2 (NUTR2002).

Endeavour College (Australia)
In completing our Human Nutrition subject you may be eligible to pathway to the following tertiary qualifications at Endeavour College:
* Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional & Dietetic Medicine) - BHSc(NutDMed)
* Bachelor of Health Science in streams of either naturopathy or western herbal medicine
​Note: Well College Global is not the degree provider. Acceptance into degree pathways is dependent on all other admission requirements being meet, please contact Endeavour to ensure you meet these conditions prior to enrolling.
CREDIT POINTS WITH ENDEAVOUR COLLEGE
Students successfully completing all elements of the Certificate of Human Nutrition subject may be eligible to apply for direct entry at Endeavour College, taking with them an exemption for the Foundations of Human Nutrition subject (NMDF121).

Students who also complete Psychology & Wellbeing Foundations  and Wellbeing Management & Coaching Practices (both are compulsory units in our health coaching programs) may be eligible for an additional credit for Foundations of Communication and Counselling (SOFC111) or Wellness Practices (BIOW3) at Endeavour College for the above degree and certificate options.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
We recommend you discuss your intended pathway with Endeavour College or ACPE as there are some entry requirements for Australian degrees that have been newly introduced.  Please note as of January 2018 entrance into Australian Universities may have requirements. You may be required to:
  1. Hold HSC
  2. Have a Cert IV (in any field of study)
  3. Submit a resume demonstrating your suitability for the degree (as a mature age student with no formal qualifications)
  4. Have completed a year of higher education study (including new-step or open foundation years)
Please ensure you contact the provider to be clear on their requirements, they differ from one college or university to another.

Endeavour College of Natural Health is one of the few colleges which offer a degree in nutrition that is recognised by the Nutrition Society of Australia who are the industry body for Associate and Registered Nutritionists in Australia.
HOW LONG DOES THE PATHWAY OPTION LAST?
Advanced standing from our courses to Endeavour's programs lasts eight years on the proviso that the student can provide evidence of continued education in the field of study during that period. Students who haven't maintained continuing education over that time have up to three years (in accordance with VET currency of skills and knowledge) to utilise their pathway option.
CREDIT POINTS OFFERED BY ENDEAVOUR
In completing our Certificate of Human Nutrition and both of our coaching units (Psychology, Behaviour & Wellbeing unit plus Wellbeing Management & Health Coaching Practices) you will earn 6 credit points towards the nutrition and naturopathic degrees at Endeavour College. Advanced Diploma pathways

 Switch On Health (Australia)
Completion of the Human Nutrition unit can be used as credit towards Advanced Diploma programs in Nutrition or Naturopathy with Switch on Health, saving you hundreds of dollars in course fees.  
Switch on Health Advanced Diploma programs are accredited with the Australian Traditional-Medicine Society. (ATMS), and allow you to become an ATMS accredited Nutritionist or Naturopath at a fraction of the cost of a degree. 
Human Nutrition provides complete credit towards the following subjects with Switch on Health:
  • NUT103 – Nutrition 1: Macronutrients
  • NUT201 – Nutrition 2: Vitamins
  • NUT202 – Nutrition 2: Minerals
Additional financial discounts with Switch on Health may be available upon completion of other subjects with Well College Global (Psychology & Wellbeing Foundations, and Wellbeing Management and Coaching Practices).
